Tips For New Vegans
If you’re not vegan but like my message, you’re not alone! I recently put up a poll on Instagram, and most of my followers who responded actually aren’t vegan. But 70% of the people who answered the poll want to go vegan! Below are eight steps to get you started!
Tip 1: Change Your Vision
You might think that going vegan will be expensive, or that it will be hard to get nutrients. These things definitely don’t need to be true! Start the journey with an open mind and see it as a learning process!
Tip 2: Take One Step at a Time
You don’t need to go vegan overnight! You can, and I did, but it can be overwhelming. Instead, you can transition as slowly as you need to while your body gets used to eating differently.
Tip 3: Substitute Foods!
Instead of stressing out about all the things you won’t eat anymore, dive into exploring all the amazing things you can eat while still meeting your nutritional needs! As you transition, you can eat things like vegan eggs to satisfy cravings. Once you’re more used to being vegan, shift to a diet based in whole foods.
Tip 4: Find Inspiration
If the people around you make comments that make you feel discouraged about your choices, look for support elsewhere! The Rawvana family is here to walk with you on this new path.
Tip 5: Eat (the Right Foods) in Abundance
It’s possible to eat unhealthful foods even when you’re vegan, so make the right choices and go for whole foods! When you eat whole foods, you can eat in abundance rather than restricting your portions.

Meal prepping is LIFE! Preparing in advance makes it so much easier not to make bad impulse decisions when you’re hungry.

Going vegan is as expensive as you want it to be. There are TONS of affordable options out there. If you’re not sure where to start or what to buy, check out my video to get some great ideas.
